Link-Belt

Manufacturer line

Link-Belt, sold & sourced by Dalton Bearing Service

Dalton Bearing Service supplies Link-Belt mounted bearings from our counter at 601 S Glenwood Ave in Dalton, Georgia, and ships them to plants and quarries wherever you are. Link-Belt is the Rexnord bearing line best known for mounted spherical roller bearings: pillow blocks, four bolt and piloted flange units, take-up units and cartridge units built for heavy radial loads, shaft misalignment and contaminated service.

We source Link-Belt spherical roller pillow blocks in the common PB22400 and similar series, flange and take-up housings, mounted ball bearing units, cylindrical roller and unmounted bearings, plus replacement inserts, seals and adapter parts. These units show up on conveyors, crushers, screens, fans, kilns and dryers, and on many older machines that were built with Link-Belt bearings from the start.

When you call, have the full number off the housing if you can read it. A photo of the unit, the shaft size and the bolt center distance also work. We will match the series, the locking style and the seal, and if an exact Link-Belt unit is on backorder we will tell you up front and quote an interchange, often a Rex unit from the same company.

Link-Belt is also a common choice when you need a roller-bearing alternative to a Sealmaster ball bearing unit, or a cross to Dodge. Tell us what is on the machine now and we will check fit, shaft size and housing dimensions before you order.

Note: Link-Belt bearings are not related to Link-Belt cranes and excavators, which are separate companies.

Link-Belt ownership & history

Link-Belt began with William Dana Ewart's 1874 patent for a detachable drive chain. His Chicago company organized in 1875, and related firms were consolidated in 1906 as the Link-Belt Company, which grew into a large maker of chain, conveyors and bearings with major plants in Indianapolis. Link-Belt merged into FMC Corporation in 1967.

In 1981 FMC's power transmission group, including the Link-Belt bearing and chain divisions, was bought out as PT Components. In 1988 PT Components combined with Rexnord's mechanical power business, and Link-Belt has been a Rexnord bearing brand since. Since October 2021 it has been part of Regal Rexnord, alongside Sealmaster, Browning and McGill.

Why buy Link-Belt from Dalton Bearing

Dalton Bearing Service has kept plants running from Dalton, Georgia since 1946. We are an independent industrial distributor, not the manufacturer — which means we can quote Link-Belt straight from stock or our supplier network and, when a number is backordered or discontinued, offer a checked cross-reference — often from McGill, Sealmaster or Browning. Send a part number, a photo of the nameplate, or just the dimensions, and a real person gets back to you with price and availability, usually the same day.

Need something besides Link-Belt? We source ball bearings, plain bearings, speed reducers, couplings, belt drives, sealing and more across 160 manufacturer lines — browse every brand or send us your whole list and we will quote it in one go.
